Size range
The size of the automobile brake master cylinder is usually between 22 mm and 28 mm. Exceeding this range may cause the brake master cylinder to not work properly. For example, the Focus RS high-performance model adopts a 24 mm brake master cylinder bore design.
Poundage range
The poundage selection of the brake system needs to be determined according to the vehicle's equipment and braking needs:
Small caliper brake system: The recommended poundage range is 14-16 pounds.
Dual caliper brake system: The recommended poundage range is 17-19 pounds.
Replacement and maintenance recommendations
When replacing the brake master cylinder, the same model as the original vehicle should be selected, and the size should not be increased at will to ensure the stability and safety of the brake system. In addition, the selection of brake fluid is also very critical. High-quality brake fluid must have stable chemical properties and excellent high temperature resistance, and different types of brake fluids cannot be mixed to avoid affecting the braking effect.
